It’s a word used by many these days, almost haphazardly and without much meaning anymore. To be “busy” nowadays is the default positioning for social importance. It’s the defacto excuse for excusing oneself for being late, tardy or completely uninterested. As if discussing how overwhelmed you are by the myriad work tasks, social media updates and real-life duties has become the “did you catch the game last night?” or average daily water-cooler banter. Anyways, I’m done saying I’m busy. I’m done excusing myself or inflating the importance, merit or uniqueness of my life’s activities. From here on out I’m just free.
I just wanna be free, man.
